The national broadcast coverage of our research featured on RAI 3 – TGR Leonardo, Italy’s leading science news programme. The segment, aired on 27 January 2025, presents our recent study on the distinct neural pathways involved in interacting with mechanical versus digital tools. Giovanni Federico and colleagues are leading this work, combining cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology, and neuroimaging to explore how the brain supports the flexible use of different technological artefacts. On 10 September 2021, Giovanni Federico appeared during the evening edition of VG21, the regional news bulletin broadcast by Canale 21, a regional television network based in Southern Italy. In the interview conducted by Benedetta Piscitelli, Giovanni Federico discussed the neuropsychological consequences of COVID-19. The conversation highlighted how the pandemic affected cognitive and emotional functioning, with important implications for diagnosis, treatment, and care strategies. The discussion also included findings from the 2021 study published in PeerJ.
